Belgian Cats in good hands at Orthoca

On Monday 29 July, the Belgian Cats, our national basketball women team, start their first assignment at the Olympic Games in Paris. Behind the scenes, a dedicated medical team is on standby, in which Orthoca also plays an important role.

Are they ready for it? Absolutely!

The Belgian Cats have won all their matches during their preparations, all against top teams.
In their last practice match in Reims, they even beat the European champions ánd Japan. With six wins in a row, they leave for the Olympics with confidence.

These impressive results have not gone unnoticed internationally either. The achievements of the Belgian Cats are of course mainly due to their talent and commitment, but the role of the medical staff is certainly not to be underestimated. Thanks to our extensive experience in orthopaedic surgery and sports injuries, we have built a strong bond of trust with the players over the years.

Several basketball players have had to deal with injuries in the past.
Recently, a top player was treated by one of our Orthoca specialists. Now, however, she is ready to compete in the Games.

‘A small miracle,’ commented team captain Emma Meesseman.

The Belgian Cats’ first match is on Monday 29 July against Germany. This will quickly be followed by matches against the USA on Thursday 1 August and against Japan on Sunday, 4 August.

We wish the Belgian Cats every success and are proud of the appreciation we receive from the players and their entourage.

Together we go for gold!
